By the age of twenty-seven, I had stopped believing that every promising conversation would become a meaningful relationship. My dating experiences had rarely ended badly, but they rarely lasted long either.
Most connections simply faded after a few weeks, leaving behind polite messages, unanswered questions, and the familiar feeling that perhaps we simply were not the right match. Over time, I accepted that finding someone truly compatible might take patience rather than luck.
