“Werewolf” Stands On Side Of Road For Months: Then A Stranger Approaches And Does The Unthinkable

Poor, balding, and weak, a dog dubbed the “werewolf” was seen for months by the roadside in Madera Ranchos, California. With patchy fur, mange, and a broken tail, he looked frightening, so no one dared to help—until one woman posted about him on Facebook and rescuer Megan Bowe stepped in.

“When I saw him, I was ready to cry,” Megan said. The “werewolf” turned out to be a one-year-old German shepherd mix in terrible health. She named him King and rushed him to the vet, where he was diagnosed with mange, a shattered pelvis, and severe malnutrition.
